National Debt Crisis

I have wondered lately when the Republicans and Democrats can find a solution or compromise [if you heard on the news lately] to reducing our debt. We have over 13 trillion dollars lost, billions spent each month on social security, health care, unemployment, and education. With House leader Baener refusing to talk to the President for help, there is a low chance that it can be solved by the deadline by August 2.

Once the deadline comes, the US goes into default where spending is greatly limited. Retirement is lost and 401K accounts are weakened. Unless bipartisan compromise can be reached, default can be avoided.

So what are your suggestions?
